Ingrid De Doncker is an innovator in sustainable procurement and supply chain. As a practitioner, she has more than 20 years’ experience with domestic and global procurement and supply chain teams across various industries. She is a lecturer in three Irish universities and active as a sustainable procurement subject matter expert in public and private industry groups and networks. Ingrid applies her deep procurement and supply chain expertise to guide companies to buy more responsibly. Ingrid is a Co-founder and head of research and innovation at FUTURE PLANET, a Sustainable Lifecycle Management software company. Future Planet is like Google Map for Sustainability. It empowers organisations to embed sustainable best practices in their operations, their suppliers, and customers, while measuring and recording progress against sustainable reporting standards. Future Planet won the prestigious ‘Irish Times Innovation Award’ in November 2022. Prior to Future Planet, Ingrid was founder of IDDEA, a strategic procurement consultancy, that advised companies how to ‘buy better’, creating long-term sustainable value while building more resilient supply chains. As Founder of the non-for-profit PTI (Procurement Transformation Institute), she collaborates with other EU member States to promote innovation and sustainable procurement practices. PTI is the official sponsor of the National Procurement awards in Ireland, and Ingrid is actively engaged in EU projects and rapporteur for EU innovation procurement award.
