BUILDING SMARTER: REDEFINING THE FUTURE OF CONSTRUCTION
The construction industry is undergoing a major transformative shift in terms of the landscape in which it operates. This is being driven by digital innovation and technological advancements, an evolving complex regulatory environment particularly around sustainability, and the increasing use of offsite manufacturing and new leaner ways of working. Productivity remains to the fore with construction continuing to be one of the least digitalised sectors in the broader economy globally due to its complexity. This signifies the great change that will impact the industry over the coming years as the industry evolves. Now is a time of immense opportunity for leaders in the industry to compete on a different scale particularly for early adopters. However, with great change comes risks; some of which may be inconceivable at this point but yet have to be somehow considered. Also of major relevance is that as the industry adapts, the core challenges are not just the availability and use of technology, but also the profound behavioural shift within organisations and across the construction supply chain.
Hear from expert speakers on a range of topics including why a robust cybersecurity policy is essential for protecting your digital assets and maintaining operational continuity; how AI is revolutionising how projects are designed, managed, and built by enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving safety. The agenda will provide a comprehensive exploration of digital construction in Ireland, offering both strategic insights and practical solutions for leaders and stakeholders across the sector.
The 2025 Digital Construction Summit will bring together Ireland’s leading CEOs, thought leaders, and digital adoption champions. It will focus on how Ireland’s construction industry must embrace smart construction, offsite manufacturing, digital technology and innovation to address persistent challenges such as efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
So join us on 21 October 2025 to hear lively panel discussions, inspiring case studies, burning fireside chats on Ireland’s vibrant digital construction sector, how to increase productivity and improve efficiencies for your business, and to connect with brands, organisations, suppliers and key industry buyer

2023 Agenda
The construction industry is at a critical juncture and needs to prioritise smart off-site manufacturing by leveraging Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to provide the social, economic and productive infrastructure required to sustain economic growth and to attract foreign direct investment in Ireland. Some companies have adopted new technological processes and more advanced construction systems to deliver value to their client but this transformation needs to be adopted by all players.
This panel will discuss:
- how industry and government must align to deliver the best outcomes for Ireland
- driving deeper digital adoption
- the key challenges and opportunities in driving frameworks for the delivery of Project Ireland 2040
- current issues that need to be reviewed to overcome the challenges to achieve alignment of common goals
To ensure collaboration and co-ordination there is a need to provide the necessary digital tools, standards, approaches and training required by all across the sector, and in particular small and medium sized firms who may have yet to realise the full benefits of digital approaches and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Aligning digital standards provides a common language that can be translated to technical specifications enabling clients, designers, contractors, and facilities managers to communicate efficiently and reduce cost, rework and disputes.
Topics include:
- ensuring that policy supports will deliver the best outcomes for integrators and clients
- the importance of common rules, guidelines and workflows that facilitate improvement of information flow and information management across full asset lifecycles
- why creating trust among stakeholders is essential to achieving the objectives
An insight into how Estonia is reinventing public services by developing an e-construction platform – a digital interaction environment to enable seamless data exchange throughout the building lifecycle. If the construction sector has so far been notoriously fragmented, then the e-construction platform connects planning, construction, and maintenance processes with digital twins and BIM to drive productivity growth, transparency, and innovation.
