Daniel McCrum

Associate Professor, University College Dublin

Dr Daniel McCrum is a chartered engineer and an Associate Professor in Structural Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, University College Dublin, where he leads the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Research Group (ucd.ie/mmcrg/). Dr McCrum graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and completed an MSc in Structural Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Glasgow. Dr McCrum completed his PhD in structural engineering from Trinity College Dublin in 2012 funded by an Irish Research Council Scholarship. Dr McCrum is a funded principal investigator and member of the Centre Executive Management Committee of Construct Innovate, Ireland’s National Research Centre for Construction Technology and Innovation.
