Ellie has worked in sustainability for 12 years, beginning her career on-site as an Environmental Consultant with Worley Parsons before transitioning to in-house sustainability teams at Costain and Mace, where she contributed to major projects such as Crossrail and HS2. In 2019, Ellie returned to Ireland and continued working in the engineering and construction sector for a time before rejoining consultancy as one of the first hires at Davy Horizons, the ESG and Sustainability advisory branch of Davy Stockbrokers.
After four years advising PLCs and large privately-owned companies on sustainability across sectors including retail, food & agriculture, and aviation, Ellie accepted the role of Head of Sustainability at Suir Engineering. In this role, she collaborates with various teams to develop and implement the company’s first Sustainability Strategy, aligning with regulations such as the CSRD and EU Taxonomy. She also champions Suir Engineering’s legacy as a leading provider of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions in Ireland, the UK, Europe, and other global locations.
Ellie is focused on digital solutions, rolling out platforms within Suir Engineering to support carbon accounting, Double Materiality Assessments (DMA), and ESRS-compliant reporting.
