Yvonne Foy is a highly experienced and successful professional with over 19 years of experience at Laois Offaly Education and Training Board (LOETB). In her current role as Contract Training Officer, Yvonne has managed the provision of Contract Training in a range of sectors, including the Built Environment, and has been instrumental in driving the development of new programmes to meet the needs of a region dependant on construction for much of its local employment. Yvonne’s expertise in working with the construction industry has been recognised at national level, having initiated Ireland’s first Formwork Traineeship, playing an integral role in the development of national Utility and Retrofit pilots, and now working as part of the team that will lead out the MMC provision for LOETB and enhancing the benefit to the sector of the MMC National Demonstration Park that will be housed in LOETB’s National Construction Training Centre in Mount Lucas, Co. Offaly. Yvonne is passionate about the opportunities the sector can provide to its members and to society and has a genuine belief in the transformative impact of digital technology on the industry. A champion for digital transformation, Yvonne will address the CIF Digital Construction Summit 2023 on the key challenges facing the construction industry and how technology and innovation can be harnessed to improve productivity and drive growth.
